Need external hard drive to use this media player.

I didn't realize you need to use an external hard drive with this media player. Since I do have one, I hooked it up to view my photos. The one thing that is really irritating, is that it is so slow moving from one photo to the next. I checked the settings and on the slide show settings, the fastest rate is 3 seconds. If I don't use the slide show settings, I cannot just click and advance to the next photo. It takes around 5 seconds or more to move on. The online manual did not offer any help in this area. I didn't take the time to call and ask for technical support, but I may try when I have the time.

FF/REW Issues

Review Date: July 27, 2010
Reviewer: Rusty C,
I loved this when I got it a year ago. But I've run into a problem I haven't found a way around yet. Shows record fine, but if when watching the show, I try to Fast Forward or Rewind, it jumps incomprehensibly. So if you can watch a show without FF or REW, this is the thing for you; if not, beware. I was using MP4's.....

This product works great for me. The only problem is the remote. If it is lost or damaged the media player is useless.

Bought this media center and after I got it I was completely frustrated with its poor functionality - no video preview mode, wireless didn't work in spite of a note it should to, movies names were too big to fit under small icons - not able to identify what movie is until run it.
Also, the price is too high for this center - instead of this, for only $104 I bought Bright*View Cinematube with wireless USB device - had no any problems at all.
